Pat & Walter

Tremblant Feb 2004

Pat and I went to our Intrawest condo the last week in February. My sister and her fiance, Tony, came up for the weekend. Here's some photos and such.

	The day was a bit cloudy, but warmer than the usual Tremblant day. Liz and Tony looked great skiing.
We spent one day cross country skiing on the Mont Tremblant national park. Conditions were great and the facilities even better. This is one of the "cabins" along the trails. Awesome! Only trouble is we spent three hours skiing, and were very tired by the time we made it back to the trailhead.
	Walter resting at the cabin in the middle of the Versant Soleil slope. We spent most of the last day riding in this area. The cabin looks empty because it closes at 2pm, but the back deck is still open to bask in the sunshine!

Toronto Autoshow 2004

Pat and I went to the Toronto Autoshow on February 15, 2004. Lot's of cool stuff to see, and our friend Steve Bigg had a booth for his new flight sim business www.aircombatzone.com.

		Of course we had to hang out in the Mini booth for a while since we have waited so long for Pat's Mini.
	Chrysler had some cool things to display. They had a Crossfire hanging by wires above the escalator. And this strange Jeep prototype vehcile was kinda neat.
Walter in his next (?) car. I kinda freaked Pat out with this one. I told her to open the hood, and as expected, there was no engine. I then asked her to open the trunk, and she was expecting the engine there. But it's not. It's more storage space. The engine is between the seats and the trunk (it's not visible).
		Here's Steve at the show and a shot of a couple of his flight sims setup. Very cool. Hopefully he received some good word of mouth from the show. I know he was very busy when we where there. www.aircombatzone.com
Ford also had some cool vehicles at the show. I like the look of the new 2005 Mustang. It's got that old "Mach1" look. The GT is up in supercar status.
	Unfortunately, Subaru was not letting people sit in the new WRX STI, but they did have a cool full motion car simulator set up. They were only asking for a donation to charity to try it out. I gave it a couple of tries. My best time was 1'40".
